I picked up a camera long before I knew what to do with it — mostly pointed at my own family, trying to hold onto things I knew wouldn't last. That instinct never really left. It just found a better subject.
These days, I spend my weekends in the middle of other people's biggest days — the ones they've been planning for a year and will remember for the rest of their lives. I take that seriously, but I don't take myself too seriously while I'm doing it.
I'm not interested in directing you into a version of your wedding that looks good on camera. I'm interested in the version that actually happened — the real one, with all its nerves and joy and slightly wonky table settings.
